Our Reach

Our program serves homeless Veterans across Wyoming, Western South Dakota, and select counties in Montana, including Gallatin, Cascade, Lewis & Clark, Missoula, Deer Lodge, Flathead, Lake, Powell, Silver Bow, Broadwater, Jefferson, and Granite. Funded by the United States Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Services, we work tirelessly to help Veterans secure stable futures.

Partnering with the Community

We collaborate with local employers to highlight the benefits of hiring Veterans, including incentives such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). Our experienced staff is committed to meeting the vocational needs of Veterans, ensuring they receive continued support even after finding employment.

Ending Veteran Homelessness

Recognizing that lack of employment is a leading cause of Veteran homelessness, we aim to stabilize lives and futures by assisting homeless Veterans in Wyoming, Montana and Western South Dakota in finding meaningful employment. Together, we can make a difference.

As the Department of Labor explains, HVRP has two core objectives:

1) to provide services to assist in reintegrating homeless veterans into meaningful employment within the labor force.

2) to stimulate the development of effective service delivery systems that will address the complex problems facing homeless veterans.

At Volunteers of American Northern Rockies, we strive to meet these core objectives by ensuring that Veterans in our programs are finding employment that is meaningful to them, not just taking whatever job is available. This is a key foundation to help them transition into a community and build a healthy, happy life. We also network with other service providers to ensure that the complex needs of our Veteran communities are being met.
